BASF Ultrafuse® PA
First BASF filament development Based on Ultramid®.
Ultrafuse® PA is BASF's translation of Ultramid® into the 3D printing field. It is based on a copolyamide 6/66 with medium viscosity. Ultrafuse® PA makes it possible to print semi-flexible, thin parts, while being very rigid at higher thicknesses. It has a lower melting temperature than PA6 and PA66, which means it can be printed at lower temperatures and also has better impact strength than PA6 and PA66, opening up a whole new range of applications for end users.
Advantages at a glance
Good fatigue resistance
High mechanical strength
Low melting point makes it printable by many FFF printers
Good wear resistance/sliding properties
Good impact strength at low temperatures
Application examples
Most technical sectors
Suitable for a wide range of different components and machine elements, e.g. as a high quality electrical insulation material
