The RMF500 is a reliable, accurate and flexible 3D printer that produces high-performance and repeatable parts for end users, making it a great option for low-volume manufacturing as well as other applications.

Powerful and lightweight fiber-reinforced material.

The RMF500 specializes in printing complex parts with a high strength-to-weight ratio in a single job, using fiber-reinforced thermoplastics. Raise3D ensures the performance of each filament spool and continuously expands the material selection.

  • Filament Spools & Certification Expanded
    Raise3D's Open Filament Program (OFP) continuously works with filament manufacturers to identify and select high-performance filaments for Raise3D printers. The OFP has now entered Phase 2.0, with certified industrial-grade filaments with specific mechanical properties and guaranteed improved performance
  • Filament Cartridge
    The RMF500 features four large multi-purpose filament cartridges, with each cartridge having a maximum load capacity of 2.5 kg. This allows for automatic switching and overpressure humidity control below 5% RH.
  • High quality nozzle hardness
    The RMF500 uses silicon carbide nozzles with a hardness of over 60 HRC to resist abrasion from carbon and fiberglass materials.
  • Special support material
    Each fiber-reinforced filament from Raise3D is designed with a matching support material. For example, the breakaway support filament for PA12 CF can break away easily, resulting in a clean overhang surface.

Productivity and repeatability

Thanks to the RMF500's FFF technology, this 3D printer offers repeatable positioning accuracy, consistent extrusion flow, high print speed and large build volume. With these features, the RMF500 can produce large batches or workpieces in a highly efficient manner.

  • Linear motor for speed and precision
    The RMF500 uses a linear motor-driven system with a 1μm synchronized control loop that outperforms conventional systems with belts, pulleys and lead screws. This linear motor system gives the RMF500 an acceleration of 2 G and a speed of over 1000 mm/s2.
  • Huge and reliable size
    The RMF500's build volume is 500 x 500 x 500 mm, for both single and dual extruder printing. Its vacuum manifold platform is equipped with a PEI build plate with pressure detection for easy startup and print removal.
  • High performance IDEX
    The RMF500's independent extrusion systems (IDEX) are made of high-temperature alloys and industrial ceramic composites. Each extruder has a heating power of up to 300 W and ensures a stable and high extrusion rate of up to 500 g/h.
  • Heavy duty structure
    The RMF500 has an all-steel frame, which ensures high capacity and performance. RMF500 has high quality hardening steel for linear guides with low clearance, Z-axis with maximum load limit over 100 kg and 50% less error deviation.

The RMF500 was designed to achieve maximum cost efficiency in terms of material performance versus process cost. The effective application of materials science resulted in an optimized system design with significantly lower energy consumption.

  • The science of fiber-reinforced thermoplastics
    Raise3D's materials science team can produce composite filaments with significantly improved thermal and mechanical properties by reinforcing thermoplastics with fibers. Fiber-reinforced filaments have high printability and require an environment that does not need to be as hot as other printing materials.
  • Unheated chamber
    Without a heated chamber, peak power consumption is less than 3 kW. Average power consumption per unit of print area is 60% lower than competitors.
  • Filament Cost
    Raise3D's fiber-reinforced filaments are competitively priced, making additive manufacturing with fiber-reinforced thermoplastics more accessible.
