One major advantage over the previous model is the improved access to the filament tubes: Instead of unscrewing parts, the tubes can now be reached from above without tools – ideal for quickly removing jammed or broken filament. The new ceramic guides with a Vickers hardness of 1200 also significantly increase the system's lifespan.
For large projects and creative applications, the system can be expanded: Up to 4 AMS 2 Pro and 8 AMS HT units can be connected in series – allowing access to up to 24 different filament colors or types. This enables professional-level 24-color or multi-material printing.
Automation with RFID and Turbo-Feed for Higher Efficiency
Thanks to integrated RFID technology, the AMS 2 Pro automatically detects Bambu's own filaments and adjusts the drying parameters accordingly.
Additionally, a powerful permanent synchronous servo motor accelerates filament feeding by up to 60%, saving an average of 10 minutes per 100 filament changes. This advantage is especially noticeable in multi-color or multi-material printing.
